Beauty of Joseon: looking beyond the K-beauty trend.

Hanbang inspiration, modern formulas and a closer look at the label on Glow Serum.

What Hanbang means here

Beauty of Joseon describes its skincare as inspired by Hanbang, Korea’s traditional herbal medicine. The brand combines that heritage with contemporary cosmetic ingredients. The inspiration helps explain its identity; it does not make a cosmetic product a medical treatment.

An example: Glow Serum

The official Glow Serum page lists propolis extract, niacinamide and BHA. The brand presents it as a hydrating, glow-focused serum. Read the complete ingredient list rather than relying on one headline ingredient, especially when you already use an exfoliating product.

Read the directions too

The brand advises a patch test for sensitive skin and sunscreen when used during the day. Follow the current packaging for the product you buy. A Korean brand name does not mean that every formula will suit every skin.
